This series consists of general research and internal documents produced by the Homestake Mining Company regarding their acquisition and continual use of water rights. Many of the files include research, correspondence, and data on the topic of water rights. This series also includes the documentation surrounding the maintenance of the water system and its use appropriated for the cities of Lead and Deadwood.
