Consists of legal documentation, research, trial preparation, correspondence, witness information and testimony, maps and measurements, evidentiary materials, etc., prepared for several subsequent legal cases involving proposed changes to the Spearfish Creek Watershed by HMC. Most of the material is from the 1990s, but some of the research and preliminary materials dates prior. These materials are a combination of HMC generated material and that of outside parties, including the legal representation team for HMC.

This collection is housed at the Homestake Adams Research and Cultural Center with no restrictions to access. The collection may be utilized during normal operating hours, 10-4 M-F, or by appointment.
