Scope and Contents From the Collection:

The Homestake Mining Company Maps and Blueprints Collection contains a wide variety of maps, drawings, blueprints, and other documents relating to the company's operation. Blueprints consist of machines the Homestake Mining Company used and the buildings that they built. This collection also contains various geological, metallurgical, and engineering maps of the mine.

Drawing features an outline of the Chicago and North Western Railway Company's freight depot on Julius Street, North Mill Street, and Exchange Street in Lead, South Dakota. There is a set of dotted lines representing the pipe line from a stone wall, past the railroad tracks and east to North Mill Street.

Pipes are shown groing from the boiler room, across Whitetail Creek, to the value house, along side the railroad to the Old Abe Siphons.
